A cold wet shiver
rain splashes across the window
the dogs howl
the crickets screech
a painful heart weeps
A dimming memory
brought back to life
Attempts of suppression are in vain
buried treasure should remain hidden
A sharp taste of salt and rust
against the forked tongue
screams of deafening power
refuse to come out
while the withered soul
remains locked away forever
A dark dingy dungeon
it travels through the walls
searching for its master
to be tamed, to be controlled
mourning, wanders aimlessly
An angelic face
pale white skin
peaceful as a baby
sleeping
awoken when provoked
eyes fly open
bloodshot and wide
with a malicious smile
burns you down
in a flash of anger
A cursed fire
feeds off your flesh
you pray it eats you
but it leaves you
Bleeding for more
unmending scars
that tickle as the harsh
wind blows
licking and caressing
the wounds
waiting to be cut open
The blood trickles down
stains your skin as it flows
you want it to stop
but you cant make it go
An eyeball whizzes around
clasps your neck
pulls your head
excruciating pain
you wish you were dead
The creature tears you
pulls from the inside
nerves, tissues and sinew
bites and scratches
tightens its claws around you
All you feel is the plunging
of its sharp nails
you force open your eyes and find
they are your hands
A stab to the heart
you beg and plead
to end this dreadful feat
A final blow when you see
it dancing in your shadows
closing in
cant breathe
waiting for the void
to knock you off your feet
A thoughtless gaze
A blurry haze
wanting to know
how to regain control
but wanting to be
just the way you seem
Surviving, barely existing
floating through the stagnant air
in the dungeons of your mind
a mangled creature glides
its stench frosts
the sealed walls
it has no escape
chained to your body
for all of eternity
