'twas summer
when the sun was bright
shining with all itts might
we all walked hand in hand by the sparkling blue lagoon
and smiled at out friendship-our boon.
we jumped, we laughed,we rolled,we danced
we fought,we cried,we hugged,we laughed
celebrated life and promised
never to leave each other's side.
we walked back home with heavy steps
and as we laid down to rest
we waited for another day of zest.
But today we awoke
to an eerie silence that provoked
streams of tears to flow down our eys
as we realised the gravity of our separated lives
and painfully we succumbed to the reality of life.
we had vowed to always be together
but now we are torn away from each other
it is a cold winter day
and behind a cloudy blanket
the sun is shying away
we are walking on different lands
with a tear in our eye
hoping that someday
we'll all walk hand in hand
once again by the sparkling blue lagoon
and smile at our friendship which is now a curse'd boon.
